This is the sorta thing that makes me glad, yet again, that I came to Canada and took out citizenship decades ago..

I may have been born in the USA, but I was lucky enough to escape during  the ’70’s, and things have only gotten worse, for women especially, although it seems no one but the ultra rich has remained unscathed by the Draconian revisionism and fundamentalist leanings of those in power..

It is somewhat heartbreaking to think that people that I used to love have had to live with that insanity.

One of the saving graces of the US is it’s scathing cartoonists, no one more  en pointe than Gary Trudeau. Calling this a ‘comic’ is a stretch, but it does bring a grim smile to the face, and for many, the comic form is all they’ll read, so maybe, inadvertently, they’ll get educated too…

I have to say I really despair for the Yanks…

If they can see the strip, some newspapers aren’t running it.

Ain’t that the truth. Freaking scary what’s going on down there.

And guess what: you know Governor Probe? You know how everyone thought his vice-presidential dreams were crushed after all the controversy about his state mandated vaginal penetration law? Apparently he’s still the number one prospect, according to (I think it was) Time Mag.

    Good grief.
